The Mayerson JCC connects people so that they can live happier and fuller lives, creating a more vibrant Jewish community. The JCC helps to foster social connections between its members and guests alike, bringing people together through a wide variety of programs and events. With an expansive fitness center, highly regarded early childhood school and senior center, arts and cultural events offered throughout the year, and classes for every age, the JCC connects, enriches, and inspires over 27,000 visitors per month. The JCC welcomes and engages everyone, regardless of race, religion, or ability.
The 20s & 30s Engagement Professional is responsible for creating community engagement, through relationship-building, networking, and Jewish and secular programming for the 20s & 30s demographic. This position will work with and serve Jewish young adults in Cincinnati by fostering individual relationships and community connections.
  • Be an active, knowledgeable community liaison and connector for young adults
  • Develop and foster individual relationships and community within the diversity of the 20s & 30s demographic; create a welcoming and inclusive community
  • Directly responsible for implementing and executing varied social and professional programs and engagement opportunities for young adults, from recent college graduates to older young adults and from new Cincinnati residents to long-time community members, in different phases of life
  • Manage, create, and work with relevant Mayerson JCC board/lay committees, as requested
  • Carry out all program and administrative requirements and assist in the promotion and communication of programs
  • Share and promote engagement with the Mayerson JCC, as well as other organizations and roles in the community
  • Create professional relationships with colleagues at the JCC and counterparts in the community
  • Collaborate on young adult programming with other community agencies and attend other young adult programs to support and build community
  • Develop budgets for all program areas and provide continual budget responsibility
  • Maintain and submit program records in accordance with the requirements of funding sources and internal procedures
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with past, present, and future donors in concert with the JCC Development Director
  • Support other areas of JCC programming as directed by supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • College graduate preferred
  • Experience and creativity in planning programs/events
  • Enthusiastic, social, inclusive, community-oriented
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and takes initiative
  • Knowledge of Jewish community, culture and religion
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in Word, Excel and ability to learn various software systems
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends
