Mesivta of Cincinnati is a private Orthodox Jewish high school for boys that imbues our students with a love for Torah and assists them in becoming valuable contributors to our society.
We offer a warm, student-centered environment in which students enjoy a rigorous dual curriculum of Judaic and general studies, as well as strong extra-curricular offerings. We seek to find the potential in each student and to inspire as well as educate.
Mesivta of Cincinnati is currently seeking engaged, dynamic and growth oriented candidates to fill the role of full time general studies teachers for the upcoming academic year. The anticipated position will consist of four classes of 9-13 students in the afternoon Monday through Thursday and will consist of 9th grade Life Science, and Algebra as well as 10th grade Geometry and Chemistry.
-A love of teaching and an ability to inspire and engage with young minds.
-The ability to effectively assess and document student levels of achievement, as well as prescribe actions for student improvement.
-The ability to maintain a safe, organized environment for students to learn.
-Strong oral and written communication skills with parents, students and other stakeholders.
-At least a bachelor’s degree in either secondary education or in a science or math concentration, a valid Ohio teaching license is preferred but not required for this position.
-Classroom experience or a professional background in one of the above fields.
-The ability to pass a BCI and FBI background check including fingerprinting.
-The ability to work cooperatively while helping foster and grow the culture of the school. Candidates do not have to be Jewish in order to apply.
-Additional responsibilities may include providing supervision for special events, lunch and study periods.
Starting salary is 40,000-50,000 and is negotiable based on candidate experience.
