DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The IT Help Desk Intern/Co-Op will deliver quality technical support to onsite and remote locations with the ability to solve advanced problems. This includes a wide range of job duties from basic computer knowledge, installation of programs, phone and PC / Laptop setups to network and advanced application troubleshooting.
  • Provide support to end users on equipment and software applications including desktop computers, peripherals, copiers, fax machines, scanners, computer operating systems, office applications, VPN, and others
  • Identify, research and resolve technical problems of IT equipment and software applications
  • Resolves issues of complex nature; working closely with Database, Engineers, Developers and Network Teams
  • Project leader whom provides advanced troubleshooting skills for software apps, hardware and phone support
  • Provides remote support for Satellite offices, with possible travel for onsite visits
  • Administer user accounts for network, e-mail, and other applications
  • Respond to IT tickets, telephone calls, e-mails, and requests for technical support
  • Incident management, escalation and resolution
  • Keeping an updated list of tasks and projects
  • Document, track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Inventory control of deployed and non-deployed equipment
  • Follow support processes, strive to improve processes and procedures where fit

  • Pursuing Associates or Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Prior experience in a help desk or IT support role is beneficial
  • Possess the ability to deal effectively with users, peers, and management
  • Organizational skills / ability to multitask between projects and tickets
  • Use of a helpdesk or service desk ticketing system is beneficial
  • Motivated by the success of others / willingness to be flexible
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to think critically and creatively
  • Manage time effectively, work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
  Additional beneficial knowledge includes:
  • Maintains an excellent working knowledge of Windows, Apple, end user applications & hardware
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010/2013/O365, Windows 7, SCCM, WDS
  • Basic Server / Networking skills
  • Active Directory knowledge, network drives and printer management
  • Experience with VOIP phone systems
  • Experience with mobile devices and app troubleshooting and device management
  • Experience with Service Desk Systems and workflows
  • Knowledge of Server / Network Troubleshooting
