Role Overview:

The Hillel at Miami University is looking for a highly organized and challenge-ready part time Office Manager. An ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a timely and organized workflow. The right candidate will also assist our Hillel by streamlining or creating new systems to increase efficiency. This position reports to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities include:

Office Management
  • Organize bills and work in partnership with our Business Services office to make sure bills are paid on-time and processed appropriately
  • Process checks and invoices, and reimbursements to staff and student leaders
  • Communicate with external vendors
  • Maintain software, online accounts, and databases
  • Assist with mailings
  • Maintain inventory for supplies
  • Organize the physical office space for efficiency and cleanliness
  • Respond to inquiries from students, visitors, donors, vendors and others
  • Support ED and other staff with scheduling, including coordination with on and off campus partners
  • Communicate relevant reminders to staff & interns
  • Filter and direct inquiries related to programming and student opportunities
  •  Work with staff & students to update user friendly Hillel website


Desired Experience and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required, high education preferred but not needed
  • Experience working in a busy office environment
  • Attention to detail, especially numerical accuracy
  •  Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Suite
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •  Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to organize and prioritize work independently
  • Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively
