The role: Your primary function in this role will be to lead and represent all quality related activities and regulatory activities for our Pleasant Plain, Ohio facility. These activities include compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations regarding the manufacturing and distribution of products at the site. Local applicants are preferred for this position; no relocation reimbursement will be provided for applicants outside of the greater Cincinnati area.

Your responsibilities:
• Direct the day-to-day activities of the Quality Department Staff
• Provide support on long term projects that impact Quality and business decisions
• Approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and validation protocols
• Administer the document control system
• Assess product, compliance, and operational risks to develop effective product risk management strategies
• Perform internal audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed
• Oversee and monitor activities for compliance with Company, State, and Federal regulations
• Develop, disseminate, and enforce regulatory strategies, polices and guidelines
• Conduct a periodic management review of the quality system
• Evaluate quality regulatory submissions and renewals
• Develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes
• Monitor adherence to SOPs, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Food Safety Management Act (FSMA)
• Ensure incoming materials, in-process and all finished products meet specified requirements
• Provide Vendor oversight to assure that suppliers have appropriate quality systems and process controls to guarantee the delivery of usable inventories of the needed quality
• Recommend measures to improve methods, quality of product
• Assist the manufacturing departments in employee training
• Participate in the approval of R&D, production, and packaging products
• Establish a continuous improvement culture, tactfully challenging others to improve individual and group performance, engaging the entire workforce Perform other duties or projects as assigned

Requirements

Requirements You will have:
• A BA/BS degree in chemistry, biology, or a science related field
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a quality management in a manufacturing operation
• Prior work experience with GMP's, GLP's, HACCP, FSMA, and Food Safety
• Prior work experience with pest management and sanitation processes is preferred
• Previous experience working with regulatory agencies (i.e., FDA, EPA, USDA)
